Guess who I am going to be calling this morning?

That's right...our social worker! And no, it will not be a friendly call...After we received the HS update and HS addendum on Saturday (and after posting the updated message regarding our home study)...I decided to sit down and read the whole thing. Well, what I found will totally shock you. How could he have gotten information - that was right there in front of his face -incorrect! Annabelle's date of birth was listed several times incorrectly...he mention that we adopted Francesca through the waiting child program...which we didn't and so much more....UGH!!!!. I have been going crazy since reading them Saturday afternoon! I guess you all know what I am going to be doing come 9Am eastern time here at the Leonard household..

(words can not even describe how we are feeling and what we are going through right now...we are so at our wits-end! I just PRAY that this gets corrected today and that the effects of his errors don't jeopardize where we are at for Annabelle's adoption... )

So sorry to hear this. How very disappointing. Give them a piece of your mind today. You go girl!

Listen...this is frustrating as all get out...and like you, I would have been seething, unable to sleep, obsessed about it the rest of the weekend. I probably would have been trying to call someone on Saturday! BUT....since I am on the outside looking in...

Take a deep breath. Explain calmly that you expect the changes to be made by noon today and new copies either faxed or overnighted to where you need them. Could they e-mail you a copy to edit before they are sent? My HS agency (both of them...we have used two) did that and I was able to catch a few small errors both times.

My heart goew out to you...and I wish you the best of luck. I wish there was something I could do for you. Keep us posted!!

Oh, wow. When I saw the title, I thought maybe you were going to be calling Annabelle. Lofty thinking, huh?

I remember several errors in ours too (like wrong kids names - our hes were hers) stuff like that... I really pray that this is an easy fix and we can move on!!

Call me! Let me know what he says!

OMG---overworked and underpaid and understaffed---too much at once?
Or just incompetent? I am really bummed for you. I have already prayed for this SNAFU to be resolved but will also pray for your peace of mind.
My dil called this AM to tell us of a budgeting problem at the grand-girls school. Seems they just cancelled our Tristen going to school without even telling her parents! Jen went straight there and told them in a not-so-quiet voice that she was signed up and she was coming to school so just be ready for her. Later on, the teacher called and told Jen she had heard of the situation and was doing her very best to get this SNAFU worked out. Now her preschool class is divided into AM-PM classes and the school will work out the budgeting. Also, they don't start until Sep. 3 when they should have started today. I imagine they will have extra days off here and there. They just need time to figure out the silly budget. Tristen wasn't the only one. There were 4 children that were going to be axed from the program, just to satisfy a budget...
I guess the lesson here is that bureaucrats will do what they need to in order to keep gettting their own checks! Figures on paper aer more important than humans1
